Patrick discusses principles of crisis leadership with Retired Army Colonel William Collier, author of Outnumbered 20 to 1, a true Vietnam war story and biography.

WILLIAM P. COLLIER, JR., Colonel, U.S. Army (Ret.), served 30 years as an artillery officer. His assignments included tours in Germany and Korea, two combat tours in Vietnam, and various stateside assignments, including staff and command duties with the 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile), the 1st Infantry Division (Big Red One), and the Army General Staff in the Pentagon. In addition to the Field Artillery Officers Basic and Advanced Courses, Colonel Collier is a graduate of the Armed Forces Staff College and the Army War College.

Col. Collier received the Silver Star, the Legion of Merit, two Bronze Stars, four Meritorious Service Medals, the Air Medal, two Army Commendation Medals, the Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Gold Star, the Vietnam Armed Forces Honor Medal First Class, the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Army Staff Identification Badge, and numerous service medals and ribbons. Following military retirement, he was employed in the South Carolina state government for 11 years and retired from the State Transport Police, where he was the program manager.

Colonel Collier received his B.A. degree from the University of Richmond in Virginia and his master’s degree from Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania.
