Document Storage and Retention Policy
1. Purpose
The purpose of this Document Retention Policy (the "Policy") is to ensure that all records and documents acquired during any phase of course completion for the Organizational Leadership Coaching Training (OLCT) are appropriately stored and maintained in a secure and compliant manner. This policy applies to all content collected through the OLCT online course portal. This encompasses, but is not limited to, trainee registration details, submitted assignments, evaluations, feedback, and any other pertinent trainee records.
2. Collection and Storage
All documentation related to OLCT is collected solely through the online course portal and stored on secure encrypted servers maintained by TLP to ensure data protection and confidentiality.
3. Retention Period
All trainee records acquired during any and all phases of OLCT course completion will be securely maintained for a minimum period of five (5) years. At the conclusion of the five (5) year retention period, TLP will assess the documentation. It may either be archived for future reference or permanently deleted in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Fees, Cancellations, and Refunds Policy
1. Transparency and Clarity in Fees
The Leader's Perspective (TLP) is committed to maintaining complete transparency in our fee structure for the Organizational Leadership Coaching Training (OLCT). All fees associated with the course will be clearly and visibly stated to ensure that trainees are fully informed prior to enrollment.
2. Payment Due Date
All fees for the OLCT course are to be paid in advance of commencing the training. In exceptional circumstances, if an alternative payment arrangement is required, it must be mutually agreed upon by TLP and the trainee.
3. Refund Policy
Trainees are entitled to a full refund with no conditions attached if they cancel their participation and request a refund before Module 2 of the course begins. The refund request must be made within 60 days of enrolling in the course. Once Module 2 has started, or 60 days have passed, refunds will no longer be automatically provided. Any requests for refunds from this point will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, and the granting of such refunds will be at the sole discretion of TLP. In the unlikely event that the course platform technically fails, every effort will be made to resume the course by TLP in a timely manner. If TLP cannot resume the course in a timely manner (within two weeks of platform failure), a full refund will be granted to the trainee.
4. Methods of Payment
All fees for the OLCT course are to be paid electronically. This includes but is not limited to credit/debit card payments, bank transfers, or online payment gateways.
Checks: On the rare occasion that TLP agrees to accept a check as a payment method, it's important to note that access to the course will be granted only once the check has been successfully cleared by the bank. Should a check be returned as unpayable for any reason, the trainee's access to the course will be revoked until an alternate, satisfactory payment method is received.
5. Modifications to This Policy
TLP reserves the right to revise or amend this policy at any time. Any changes made will be communicated to enrolled trainees in a timely manner.
Accessibility Policy
1. Purpose and Scope

Complaint Policy and Protocol
The Leader's Perspective (TLP) is committed to delivering a high standard of training through the Organizational Leadership Coaching Training (OLCT). We understand the importance of positive and critical feedback to improve the quality and experience of our offerings. This policy outlines the process for trainees to raise any concerns or complaints they may have about any aspect of the OLCT.
1. Raising Concerns with the Course Provider
If a trainee has dissatisfaction or concerns about any part of the OLCT, they are encouraged to:
- Directly communicate their concerns via email to the course provider, Dr. Patrick Jinks, at patrick@theleadersperspective.com.
- Describe the nature of the complaint clearly and provide any relevant details to aid in understanding and resolving the issue.
2. Reporting Concerns to the Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE)
Trainees who are seeking training credit hours for the Board Certified Coach (BCC) designation by the Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE) and have concerns about the training's integrity, quality, or delivery should:
- Directly report the concerns to the CCE.
- Ensure they provide comprehensive details about the issues faced so the CCE can evaluate the situation accurately.
3. Commitment to Continuous Improvement
All feedback received, either directed to Dr. Patrick Jinks or the CCE, is taken seriously. We view complaints as an opportunity to learn and improve for the future and a chance to put things right for the individual trainee.
TLP Certification Policy
The Leader's Perspective (TLP) grants coaching certification to those who successfully complete OLCT. This certification is strictly a single company’s endorsement of a coach’s basic coaching competence. TLP certification does not result in a lettered credential (like BCC, etc.).
TLP-certified coaches may use the approved/provided certification badge/logo in their own promotional materials (websites, business cards, email signatures, brochures, social media, etc.)
The badge must be used as provided, with no alterations.
TLP may require recertification every three years. Recertification will not require another paid course or fee, but may require affirmation of continued development, success in coaching, and positive intent for use of the certification.
Being TLP certified does NOT imply any professional association with TLP as an employee, adjunct, or contractor. Certificants may not promote any such business relationship with The Leader’s Perspective (TLP) unless a contractual business/adjunct relationship is otherwise established. Certificants are not authorized to use such promotional phrases such as, “I coach for TLP,” or “I offer leadership coaching through TLP,” etc. Only the phrase “TLP Certified Coach” is permitted, either in text, or by use of the supplied badge, as an approved, promoted association with TLP.
TLP-certified coaches MUST sign and adhere to TLP’s coaching code of ethics in order for their certification to remain valid.
Evidence of any violation of the TLP Code of Ethics may result in decertification at the discretion of TLP.
TLP Certified Coach Code of Ethics
Once achieving certification from The Leader’s Perspective, coaches agree to the following commitments. Some of these relate to external coaches (and their clients), while others refer to internal coaches (and the employees they manage and coach). TLP-Certified Coaches agree to these tenets in the event they are ever in such a position.
As a TLP-Certified Leadership Coach, I agree to:
- be responsible, transparent, honest, and accountable for all our actions in order to safeguard the public trust with integrity.
- adhere to all applicable laws and regulations and avoid the appearance of any professional misconduct.
- encourage colleagues to embrace and practice these ethical principles and standards.
- establish, maintain, and develop client or employee relationships based on mutual confidence and trust.
- recognize my practice’s boundaries of professional competence, referring to qualified colleagues where beneficial to the client.
- ensure that all my marketing and promotional materials accurately and correctly reflect the work, experiences, and expertise of the coaching practice, including my own personal credentials and titles.
- refrain from unlawful discrimination in occupational activities, including age, race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, natural origin, or disability.
- avoid condoning or engaging in harassment, including deliberate or repeated unwelcomed comments, gestures, or physical contact.
- disclose to appropriate governmental agencies, employers, and sponsors when a client or employee appears to be a danger to or is otherwise unable to act safely concerning self or others.
- obtain a written coaching service agreement before initiating a formal, external coaching relationship. This agreement shall include the rights, roles, and responsibilities of the parties involved, as well as the manner in which private information will be protected.
- seek supervision, guidance, or consultation from qualified professionals when necessary, and provide referrals when unable to provide appropriate assistance to a client or employee as well as when terminating a service relationship.
- ensure that clients, employees, sponsors, and colleagues understand that coaching services are not counseling, therapy, or psychotherapy services, and avoid providing counseling, therapy, and psychotherapy unless formally qualified to do so.
- disclose to others, including sponsors, employers, employees, clients, or colleagues, significant circumstances that could be construed as a potential or real conflict of interest, or having an appearance of impropriety.
- avoid conduct that could cause a conflict of interest regarding employer, employees, clients, or sponsors. If a conflict of interest occurs, coaches shall take reasonable steps to resolve the conflict.
- avoid, when possible, engaging in multiple relationships with clients, employees, or sponsors. In situations where multiple relationships cannot be avoided, coaches shall discuss the potential effects of the relationship with the affected individuals and shall take reasonable steps to avoid any harm. This discussion should also be noted in the client's/employee’s record.
- avoid sexual or romantic relationships with current clients or employees.
- establish the nature and purpose of any contractual relationship at the outset and be responsive and available to parties before, during, and after any services and/or sale of materials.
- obtain explicit client consent before altering any conditions of contractual agreements.
- honor the intellectual property rights of other parties.
- be accountable for achieving the objectives, projects, and tasks that we undertake to deliver.
- protect the confidentiality of all privileged information relating to the provider/client/employee relationships.
- avoid and/or effectively disclose all potential and actual conflicts of interest.
- clearly delineate the relationship with employees as it relates to being both manager and coach.
- avoid employee bias when coaching those I supervise.
- ensure that coaching engagements with employees do not contradict or confuse management (supervisory) engagements, but rather complement and reinforce them.
- avoid untruthful and disparaging communication regarding clients, employer, employees, co-workers, or competitors/colleagues.
- inspire others through our sense of dedication and high purpose.
- foster and champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in our work, and treat all people with dignity and respect.
- continually work to improve our own professional knowledge and skills, so that our performance will better serve others.
- treat our clients and/or employees with respect, fairness, and good faith, and provide conditions of employment that safeguard their rights and welfare.
Evidence of any violation of the TLP Code of Ethics may result in decertification at the discretion of TLP.
